Default New 200 20V TQA

Hey guys. Just picked up a really nice 20v Avant bone stock. Started a new job recently and needed to find something affordable but still fun and this seemed to fit perfectly. One question. I'm trying to get up to full stock boost. Do most of you see 1.8 bar on the guage regularly? I've changed most of the vacuum hoses, checked for leaks, checked ignition etc. and am still only occasionally getting 1.7 on the guage and it seems like once the car has been driven for a while it is somewhat reluctant to get past 1.4-1.5 bar. Any ideas on what to check next? I'm itching to chip this car real bad but want to make sure everything is OK first.

Rarely see 1.8. Occasionally see 1.7 if the circumstances are right (third gear up a long hill on a cool day). Dash gauge is notariously inaccurate.

Default Rarely see 1.8

Thanks Kneale that's good to know. Seems like she's running good. Feels strong and smooth. Last I5 Audi I had was a MTM 1+ chipped urS4. This feels pretty good for stock. I think I'll take her out for a few good runs and make sure every thing works OK and then it's chip time!

Thanks guys. Glad I got this instead of an A4 or A6 avant which is what I was looking at when I saw this beauty. She is pretty darn clean for a 15 year old.

4 grand on ebay. The lot that had it got it from carmax. The owner of the lot knew nothing about the car. I got in touch with a guy off of the Audifans list that went and looked at it for me. He also noticed that there was a folder from Euromotorworks which from what I hear is a very reputable independant Audi shop in Indianapolis. I called Euromotorworks and they knew the car and said they have a 2-inch thick folder of sevice done on it. I'm trying to get the folder but the previous owner is a little nervous about letting them give it away. Car has had all the major stuff done but needs a bit of fine tuning.

Paint is in really good shape and it looks like everything on the braking system is new. Has UFOs and to me they are awesome. I had 993 TT/A8 rotor big brakes on my old UrS4 and these brakes feel better to me. Can't believe people swap these out for G60s!

I'm trying to get everything dialed in so I can chip it. I had a 1993 UrS4 with MTM 1+ and just love the feel of a K24-on-crack type chip. ;-)

Thanks for the compliments guys.

Chad
