Is the red lens below the license plate a real brake light or just a reflector?

Default Neither. It's a rear fog light. Required by the EU, legal in all 50 States...

SO, any US spec models going to have pipes on both side, or just the dual on one side?

Default Autocar several months ago had an article on the design of the TT mkII
and the designers stated that when the rear fog lamp is activated and the brake lights illuminated a star is formed.

Anyone note that last week's issue of Autocar ran a photograph (or photoshop image) of the new Audi A5 without any captions?

The US spec comes with the rear fog light??!!

It also looks like the license plate area is unchanged from the euro spec model so long plates will fit!!!

I'm stationed in Germany so we have the option of having the long German plates. Yippee!!
