Default Lookie what we have here.

Just two horrible pictures for now, but the sun went down before I could actually wash the car for better photos. Thanks to everyone at Millennium Audi in Houston for making this happen today.

Default Zerin: Beautiful! My Imola is still being held.

My imola yellow is also being held hostage at the port. My dealer said today that "certain paperwork" had to go through Auburn Hills first before the car could be released to the car carrier. Supposedly, the car was released today but my dealer still couldn't give me a definite delivery date.

The Audi new car order experience really sucks. First I pay $2500 extra for a special color because the damn Germans produce a great driving car in only four basic colors,(bastards!). Then I have to wait 7 months for Audi to paint it. Next Audi of America holds up my car at the port. This will be the last new Audi I will ever buy. If I hadn't waited so long already, I would be history. Should have bought the low milage imola MKI I drove back in February.

Anyone have any ideas on what I should ask for in compensation or added benefits from Audi of America when I write and complain? I know it's not my dealer's fault, they're as powerless as I am and I negotiated a good purchase price to start with. I'm not financing, either. Maybe a maintenance agreement from corporate? Please let me hear your thoughts.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Default Yours is probably being held for the exact same reason mine was...the invoice.

Because of the special paint color, a special invoice has to be created and issued by Auburn Hills and then sent to port to reflect the price of the paint. Problem is, apparently there is ONE guy up there in charge of this and he was on vacation most of this week and this never got done. In fact, this STILL hasn't been done on my car, but I made enough phone calls to the right people that they finally released without the invoice. I have my car, but I still haven't paid for it! The dealer and I are at a loss for why an Audi factory option is making things so difficult.

So, what do you do? Tell your dealer to call your regional AoA sales manager and keep pressure on them to get the car released. That's what I did and I was finally able to get mine.
