Suspension troubleshooting - another
Hi,
I would like some direction on the process to get my A8 D3 suspension issue resolved.
During cold weather months -31C (-31F), car would not raise. Yellow and Green light on. Read forums... Bought VCDS. Installed new compressor ring and that seemed to help quite a bit. Faster raise times and less noise.
Now a few months later, a little more noise from compressor, but not as bad as before. The main issue is the Rear Right is too low (by about 23mm). Removed liner and soap tested for leaks, none found at Rear Right. Codes are below.
Keep in mind that for the pictures below my right front is near the garage sump, so the values are a little out, but at the rear the floor is level.
I would think next step should be soap test the valve manifold, and if no leaks, order and install one of them. Thoughts anyone? recalibration maybe?
Thanks!

Welcome to the Board!
First think is perfectly flat floor. 23 mm difference over 3 m car length is barely noticeable for our eyes but useless for performing suspension leveling.
Leak wise, park her with Jack Mode on and see in the morning if she is lower.

Update:
The car never lowered in park mode, even after a week.
I finally got my new valve manifold and installed it last night. I was looking for the procedure on venting and filling system in VCDS, but had no luck.(if anyone has details on this I would like to know) I let the compressor fill the system after the valve install. Compressor temps and pressure looked good while filling. Soap tested, no leaks found.
Initial visual looked ok. The rear passenger height was much higher than before & up to where it should be, and that previous "chewing on a balloon" sound was now gone. Success, or so I thought.
Parked overnight outside, temp just above freezing. Compressor seems to be running more than it should, and eventually both yellow and green lights were on by the time I got to work.
So, should I perform a recalibration for the ride height? Or, was my initial ring job on the compressor just a temporary fix, and just replace it? Thoughts?

Do you have VCDS scan now? Compressor would run for too long if it is not pumping enough or if the relay is fused. Replacing compressor piston ring with the one from eBay is just waste of money. That guy missed the point making them cylindrical. They have to be a sphere segment.

Mishar,
I bought the ring from I6 Automotive in UK. Seemed to work fine at first, but didn't take long to get noisy like it was before I installed the new ring. I have a new compressor on order. Below is latest scan codes. I reset and drove to work after lunch. All was good, but it is quite a bit warmer today.

01400 - Suspension Level Control
002 - Lower Limit Exceeded - Intermittent
This one contradicts your statement that it won't go low even after a week.
01583 - Leak in System Detected
000 - - - Intermittent
Same with this one.
01772 - Signal from Level Control Pressure Sensor (G291)
008 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent
Pressure sensor comes with compressor, so new one will fix it.

Compressor won't run after replacing piston ring
Hi. I recently replaced piston ring in compressor and whilst I was doing it I took out the screw holding the discharge relief valve in place, on doing this a spring and other metal thing came out and fell onto floor I didn't see the order they came out. Since putting everything back together the compressor won't run. I have tested it with a 12v feed and it's fine but won't actually work from the car. Will this be that I may have put the spring and metal device in wrong way round. I out the spring towards the cap and the metal valve towards the compressor body.
