I recoded the gateway and it's fine. I could save it (do it) with all the options I had on my car. I compared all the options.
How do you know if you have CP, I don't see anything? Everything seems to work fine.
BTW, the output voltage Pin 47 and 48 for camera is only 6.5V. So I use the after market camera, I need 12V.
I have to hook up the 12 volts for the camera.
Thanks,
Louis

Hi Louis and Bangerla,
I thought that the reverse lines were in the camera, as when I purchased the two Sony CCD cameras one had lines one did not, and I had no camera control module, I simply put that Sony camera with plate light in place and wired it into reverse light for 12 volt power, and the ran video into OEM TV tuner, but I would always have to hit CD, source, AV 1 input, then put in reverse.
So now I am doing all OEM.
So are you guys saying that the OEM reverse camera control module adds the lines, and do the lines bend or curve as you turn the wheel ? I thought it was just a video switcher, if it's what I think you are saying, that's a nice.

Backup light on 06 only output 10.65V - doesn't even power up the camera? Johnny, are you sure you hooked it up on the back up light? Please show me the wire and connections.
Thanks,
Louis

I need a 12V ACC line for the camera -
Does anyone know one? Please let me know - the back up light is 10.6V - my after market camera needs 12V - I don't want to hook up constantly with 12V line.
Thanks,
Louis

Running Camera Cables
It doesn't matter what camera we use, we will have to run cables from the trunk to the lid -
I cut an old RS232 cable or VGA computer cable (it has about 4-6 wires inside)- find a 6ft one, cut at both ends.
Remove the left light assembly - 2- 9mm nuts, be extremely careful not to drop them inside the body.
Punch a hole in the big grommet and use a screw driver to push the cable through this hole.
I use cheap Sony CCD after market camera - I need to drill the hole for camera cables.

Yes Louis I tapped into the reverse light +/- supply right up there by the trunk light in in the boot lid, yes it may be only 10 point some voltage, but the Sony cam is said to operate from 10 to 14.5 volts is it not ?

Yes, it's 10.5 while running - I think you got one that works with 10V - I had to add a 5V relay for the 12.6v from the trunk - the trigger signal comes from the back up camera - it's working perfectly now - when the back up camera is on - the relay triggered and the camera gets the 12V - It's perfect and my wife really like the brightness of the Sony CCD over the original Q7 camera. Now, the only thing I need is to reverse the polarity on the light. I'm looking for the Sony CCD without the guides line and it will be perfect. I'll put some RTV on the camera and I'm done.
Cheers,
Louis
