Pretty standard DE rules if you ask me. What's archaic about them?

Default So, they are saying that everybody's car has to be street legal and insured?

Or do instructors get to drive non-street legal vehicles?

Default I think you just volunteered to be an 'instructor'. :)

"Any tires acceptable"

Who knows, NY's lawyers tougher than DC's?

Default My plan was to leave Summit Point after my race and head up to the Glen with the 944.

Clearly its no longer street legal and I certainly don't need an instructor. Yes I probably could be an instructor but would think I should get some training on it first. Will be emailing them about this to see if I can use the 944. Taking both cars would be cost prohibitive.

It doesn't even specify that. Don't get it.

Default Just posted this to their board, let's see what they say.

Car policies?
6/24/08 11:00 AM

Hello!

Question from some of our Mid-Atlantic folks who want to sign up to the NEQ event at Watkins Glen.

We have some advanced drivers who want to bring their track-prepped 944s, but are not currently trained as instructors. Our club allows R-comps and non-street legal vehicles in the higher run groups.

Does NEQ exclude these cars and drivers? Do you have to be an instructor in this case?

Thanks,
Dave
