Default Is the cruise control vacum based???

Once again the cruise on my car is not working. It sets but the speed falls off fast. The acceleration trys but does not work at all. Had this happen once on an Ford a few years ago and it turned out to be a vacum leak does this sound possible on the 8?

Default Yes, it's a vacum system

It only has a few components that are under vacum. They are:

1 - Actuator with membrane
2 - Brake vent valve
3 - Clutch vent valve
4 - Vacuum hose T-connector
5 - Vacuum pump

Here's where they are:

The vacuum pump is in the front fender under the ABS pump.

You could have a leak, there is also a dump valve at the brake pedal. My old 91 200q would work on and off, the vacuum pump would get water in it.
