Visited 034 motorsport last week, headed over to Laguna Seca with them for the Audi Event (vids)
Javad picked me up at the San Jose airport, we went to the shop to grab the 80TQ. Met up with Nate and headed to Monterey. Javad lead pulling the 80TQ, Nate in his V8 90Q and I drove up Javad's GT28RS equipped A4. I was told before that the gt28rs are well suited for performance/daily driving and I can attest to that!! It was a pleasure to drive very well sorted, it just zings along. The next morning we met up with Christian and Tucker at laguna they had in tow Christians coupe. The next couple days were just awesome!! 2Bennet had there S4 GTR, Eurospec had three works cars there. The 90 ISMA GTO!!!!, a type 44 Trans Am and an early DTM v8. Randy Post's old champion S4, Bill Perkins beautiful UrQ, Dean's factory 3B urq ect ect and I mean ect!
Here are some pics and video's enjoy!!!
Short clip of Nate's V8 on the track

<a href="http://www.toxcheap.com/laguna_seca/80_2.wmv"><img src="http://www.toxcheap.com/laguna_seca/80_2.jpg"></a>
Christian's bad *** coupe that no car there could touch on the track. Check out this vid you'll see why, at the beginning you'll see him exiting 12 and stepping it out a little, well in the car it was a lot!! And watch closely the end as he crests the hill video or not you can see the shear speed!!
<a href="http://www.toxcheap.com/laguna_seca/coupe_1.wmv"><img src="http://www.toxcheap.com/laguna_seca/coupe_1.jpg"></a>
Another:

Another using all the track
<a href="http://www.toxcheap.com/laguna_seca/coupe_3.wmv"><img src="http://www.toxcheap.com/laguna_seca/coupe_3.jpg"></a>
Even though the IMSA GTO and GTR got on the track long before Christian came up the straight by the end of that lap he was all over them.
<a href="http://www.toxcheap.com/laguna_seca/coupe_4.wmv"><img src="http://www.toxcheap.com/laguna_seca/coupe_4.jpg"></a>

History
As close to a GTO car as we will ever own, as the factory crushed three of the five original GTO cars sometime after the close of the season. The remaining two are in factory hands and not for sale. However, car # 5 was sent to Audi Sport South Africa in 1990 to develop Audi South Africa's next generation Wesbank Modified car, the S4. The Audi 80/90 body of the GTO car not being sold in South Africa could not just be raced as the 200 Trans Am was. So Audi Sport SA undertook the project to build an S4 GTO car. This vehicle is basically a GTO car in S4 bodywork.
We purchased it from Ashley Landman of Ashley's Fine Cars in Cape Town, South Africa in 2000.

It was very fast, I noticed by the end of the second day it's track time had improved a lot.

Nice. Thanks.
Makes me giddy with excitement thinking about my girl. I'm not sure that front dam is my favorite(on Bill's car), but I'm anticipating needing something of that nature. Just not enough downforce on those type 85's on the track, at least at speed.
