Default So..... back from the dragstrip round 5!

Just back from the track.... got 2 passes..... Event day with 440 cars... 7+ F***ing hours and 2 passes

Conditions:
68F, 58% humidity, 30.05BP DA of 2100+.... Not very good!!!

Car.... 2010 Audi S4 S-tronic, sportsdif, 19's, 3/8 tank 100oct, full wt. 2,380 miles....
Mods... Strat intake and 100 octane APR tune... Sorry! I didn't get a chance to swap intakes and do that test... will do it next week.... Long day....

So... as many know I had an issue with the APR tune last week... So Keith and the APR team worked graciously with me, covered the shipping both ways and got me my chip back.... I could immediately tell that the car was much much stronger but held off making a post... I wanted track times and something to shoot for from Voltron and his crew.... Then I read his post last night when I woke up and couldn't sleep after that I was so bummed. Let's face it that dude has done a lot for the community and gotten ****ty results... He deserves better so I am glad to be able to make this post.... There was a group of black guys on Hyabusa's 8 of them, they bet on my race vs my buddy in his vette... They were talking so much **** to each other it was hillarious.... I didn't say nothing... when I came back after the run it was off the hook these dudes were just LOL and going crazy... Had to be there but it was really funny! Enough of that here are the results..... I can post the slips later....

1.7994 60ft
5.2424 330ft
8.0253 1/8 mile
89.04 1/8 mph
10.4091 1000 foot et
12.4126 1/4 time
114.17 mph

1.7915 60ft
5.2327 330ft
8.0115 1/8 mile
89.23 1/8 mph
10.3905 1000 foot et
12.3875 1/4 time
114.81 mph

So... I am not a big fan of corrections but it's something to consider remember the DA is 2100+ today...LOL... I will be going back next week with exhaust... I predict low 12.2's or better.... I also ordered a meth/water injection.... If all goes well(mostly weather in Ohio) I will run 11's this Nov.... mid 11's early spring....

APR and Strat intake FTMFW!

Oh and of course vids....

Very impressive! Thanks for your time and effort!

One question that would be interesting to know is if you know which version fo DSG software you have. I think v7 is the newest. I'm especially interested if it's a fairly old version. BMW has been notorious for releasing updated ECU version for the n54 which increase lag and increase other such electronic nannies.

It would be really interesting to trakc and see if there is a theme with specific DSG code revisions and performance that didn't seem up to par.

I personally hope you have the latest and greatest

holy **** primetime...that's awesome

more impressive than the ET is the MPH. 114.8 is excellent. That's like a 450hp car.

Good to see someone nail a couple of passes without issues! 1.79 60 foots are rock solid.

as for the corrections, 2500 DA sucks *****. Is it really that hot in Ohio? Friging 50 degrees here every day. Lucky dogs. Still, 2500 DA for your FI car won't really change a ton at sea level, but would be nice to get everything you could out of it.

I predicted 12.60@113mph for the 93 + exhaust + intake. I also said you'dbeat that because of
a) 100 octane and
b) you're just FAST!

p.s. WTF is going on with voltron's car? See that lag in his 1-2 shift? The video in-car was hard to tell, but the video at the track wiht hyperM3 driving made me think that was like a 0.75 second hesitation. It sounded real weird.

Sak- yeah. I think its equivalent to at least 450 hp car. Using these calculators, I'm getting 480 hp.

Primetime - do you know your exact weight? You state full weight - are you telling us you didn't even get rid of your donut?
