had a chance to play with one late last-nite in the Valley with my Dad's stg2B5 S4 .
we did 7 runs and each time he lost by 2-3 cars , on the 8th run his clutch went out and had to get towed to a local dealer .
I personally think Audi didn't do a great job on the B7 VS B5 .
has anyone done any 1/4 runs ? any thoughts ?

The RS4 is as close to all around perfection for a daily driver small sedan...
even if it isn't heart stopping frightening fast. They are quick without a doubt and the luxury level is great, the noise is fabulous, with a little augmentation, Ohlins and Alcons, it makes a nice little dual duty daily/track car as well. They also have a great look, though it is not a drag car nor is it going to receive a ton of power modifications in the near future. I'd own one, but keep my B5 for the power mods
Cheers,

After only 1300 miles, so not yet run in, I love my RS4. If I wanted to drag race
I would have gotten something else. Not sure what the point of your post is, but cheers anyway and be careful out there.

alex i agree...
I am still looking to buy a B5 and mod the hell out of it. Two different cars. I think we have beaten around the B7 RS4 vs B5 RS4 issue enough around this board. Why bring it up again? Personally I thought the original post was out of line.
Also I am sure you are familiar with what I was going for with my dad post. So many "my daddy has this and I drove my daddys XXXXX etc"

Don't know if your being serious or just starting something, but...
there is no way a Stage II B5 is going to take a RS4. I went from a Stage II B5 to a B6 S4 with all available performance goodies then to the RS4. My B6 was quicker then the B5, but not by much. My RS4 is faster then my B6 and B5 for sure.
A friend with a B6 S4 and I are going to do some side by side runs soon, I will try to get a Stage II, and Stage III to join as well just for fun.
