boki and kui went up the mountain for the first day of pikes peak hill climb practice, ....
we were up there this morning, and will be for all practice days, and raceday.
the "monster" nobuhiro tajima, was <i>sooo</i> together, and he will prolly break the record, finally, this year. he can run at any time he wants on saturday, so weather should not hinder his chances to set a new course record. this suzuki "<i>grand vitara</i>" has twin turbos and makes 1000 horses. omfghi2damotor! i studied the engine room, it was art, <i>but photographs of it were strictly forbidden</i>

rhys millen, and his finish line crewman were really nice and easy to talk to, and they were having a ton of fun getting his wee drifter set up for the mountain. in the drifting discipline he normally doesn't really have to deal with brakes, and since the car is also not used to the full airflow, it was running <i>very</i> cool.

the three v10 tdi stock touaregs were practicing at the top, today, and it was great to hang around with those cats, mark miller and ryan arcero, again.

looking forward to getting up at 2:30am again tomorrow, .... not

i believe it's because they're hoping that he will break the record, and ....
if he does, that it could renew some enthusiasm in the race for sponsors, and for fans as well.
they've really screwed the race up over the last many years, and i hope it's not at the point of no return
