Default STaSIS Motorsports to run this weekend at St. Petersburg, FL.

Taking the lessons learned from the Sebring race we have made some changes to the cars which should prove beneficial. Last year Chip led most of this race up until some heroic driving by Randy Pobst. Chip was driving our older B5 cars with the inferior 2.8 12v motors and ended up 2nd, so this race should be good for us.

Additionally, the BMW's were given several adjustments to their cars which should bring the field more in line.

Please come out and support the team or watch us on SPEED TV.

Race 12:45pm Sunday April 2nd

Televised 4:00 PM EST that Sunday on SPEED TV

Thanks for all your support.

Default Good luck to Audi but the changes to the BMWs are BS.

The best driver in WC walks away from the field but it's the car's fault? I say if you put Auberlen in any of those cars, he stands a great chance of winning. Especially at Sebring, I think he's won the last 3 WC races there. The BMWs are adding 100 lbs, altering the weight balance (51/49 even though the car was 50/50 from factory), and losing 100rpm at redline. Maybe they'll chain an anvil to the car if BMW wins this week.

BMW had 3 in the top ten (auberlen won, Bimmerworld was 9 and 10 I think), and Acura has 5 in the top ten. Did they make changes to the Acuras? The problem for the BMW cars is that Auberlen wins every race he enters (seemingly). Even though he'll only race 3 times this year, that's enough to give the BMWs a severe penalty.

Default I am not going to get into what SCCA decideds

Not to take anything away from Bill because he is a very talented driver and one of the best but all the BMW's were pulling on our cars, per everyone of our drivers. I do think there were adjusments made to the Acura's as well but not positive.

Oh and Peter Cunningham won Sebring last year, Bill placed 2nd behind him. Chip Herr (our driver) was 10th this year, so it was not Bimmerworld.

Default I talked with one of your drivers on Thursday before the race...

A guy I know is very quick and consistent and he mentioned the Audi getting pulled on the straights.

Another driver I know is also very highly skilled who was following the Audi on track echoed the same thing, that the Audis were definitely getting pulled on the straights (and that it was a car, not a driver issue).

See you guys this weekend.

Default We'll see how BMW does in a non-Auberlen race.

I was mistaken about the BMW results...they were 1,6,8. Seth Thomas was the 6th place BMW and he was fully 1.5 seconds slower than Auberlen. I know Seth and without a doubt he's the best racer that I know personally but he's no Auberlen and he'll admit that.

If the BMW's don't do well in the next few weeks I hope SCCA will remove some of the restrictions. This way when Auberlen spanks the field in MidOhio SCCA can put fresh restrictions on the BMWs.

Default Correct, we were drafting down the straights.... not to pass but to just keep up.

SCCA gave us 100lbs and boost restrictions at the beginning of the year. Which I am sure we will be fighting all season long.

Send me or Jason an e-mail with your full names as I have to send them to SCCA for will call.

Thanks again.
