Default FINALLY the Project is running and mostly done!

I haven't been on this forum for years, but we recently mustang dyno'd and tuned my B5 01' A4. Alot of you guys remember me back a couple years ago when the B5 forums were still happening! Those were some great times!

We removed the Autronics SM2 and ran an EFI standalone engine management. It dyno'd at 316AWHP on the Mustang. From what my tuner and the dyno shop has both mentioned, typically the mustang dyno's about 15% lower then a dyno jet. So in Dynojet terms we are at 363AWHP. At the crank, we all use different drivetrain loss number. But I've heard anywhere from 20-30% so 435 estimated crank HP to 471 crank HP.

We dyno'd it at a very conservative 24lbs of boost, 12 degrees timing on MS109. The top end is completely untouched. This was the final dyno pull after 2 hours of continuous tuning. We are going to bring it back to the dyno on C12 and progress the boost higher and add some more timing. I believe we can get quite a bit more out of the motor on this setup.

Driving the car, 1st and 2nd gear are completely useless, the car rips the asphalt apart. I am hitting a full 24lbs of boost around 5K. We are going to shoot for 30psi on C12. Once the wastegate opens (I have an open wastegate), it sounds like an airplane is taking off. The metallic sounds of the large tial wastegate opening scared the living **** out of my girlfriend.

I do have an Autronics SM2 stand alone engine management for sale, along with the harness, and CDI ignition, RC Injectors, another custom turbo setup w/ manifold ready to go. We thought the original problem was the engine management but in the end, it was a faulty cam sensor! So I spent a couple of years letting the car sit. The project was a very long trials and tribulation process. To give you guys some perspective, the car didn't move much for the last 2 years. The car will be for sale soon. It was a fun project. This car was built as a project for Angstrom Wheels. You guys may or may not remember the company. It was something I started as an Audi enthusiast, but never continued it forward due to manufacturers trying to rip me off. Anyhow, just wanted to post you guys an update since I know this is LONG overdue. I will try to post the dynographs as soon as I get them.

Default wow, grats

I'm kind of in the same boat, My car hasn't seen the light of day in over 2 years.

As for the mustang dyno, it's definately conservative. I put down 250whp at 17psi, but a bone stock S4 put down ~190whp, which comes out to about 25% loss.

If you still have that Autronic for sale, shoot me an email, I tried to send one to you, but I guess your email isn't valid anymore.
