ECU-chipping query.
Hey guys,
I'm investigating buying a supercharger kit; but I have some worries regarding the ECU.
If my ECU number (off memory, sopmething like 4D0 997 551 AH), matches the ones that guys here on the forums and scaudi forums, does that mean Im' running the same ECU, and that getting the supercharger kit including the ECU chip coudl be installed into my car with no problems?
What I mean is, does the actual ECU unit's model number actually represent any differences in countries, or could the software inside in the chip in the box still be different; thus if I were to put a US-spec PES supercharger chip into my ECU it may/may not be compatible with my car?
John.

Re: ECU-chipping query.
Why dont you just go and see your local dealer and order it through him? That way your geting what is the right thing for your car and it will work in your car!!! What your trying to save on $$$$ will cost you more in the long run when you will come into problems...
Problem solved...
