Default Yes, you book your own flights. You get the first night for free at one of 3

hotels in Ingolstadt. We stayed at the ARA Hotel. Great breakfast, free internet at a kiosk in the lobby, sauna, and workout room. Other than that, if you are going to travel abroad that is all up to you.

Fortunately for me my wife did all of our research and found all of our hotels in the places we were planning on going.

Default No, they pick you up at the airport. We got picked up inan A8L W12 :-) I took this info off of

the Audi European Delivery website under Program Benefits.

* Audi will provide complimentary transportation from Munich Airport to one of three Audi recommended 4-Star hotels listed above

* The next morning, Audi will be pleased to provide complimentary transportation from your hotel to Audi Forum
Ingolstadt where your new Audi will be waiting

http://www.audiusa.com/audi/us/en2/experience/european_delivery/program_benefits.html</a

Default From Munich you would definitely take the train.

When we go, we will probably hang out in Munich for a couple of days, where having a car is more trouble than it could possibly be worth. Then if we can't get a ride in an A8L W12, ;-) we'll take the train - easy and direct. Then it's a short Audi sponsored cab ride over to the Forum or wherever. When I was there last, I didn't realize that the old city (Altstadt) of Ingolstadt is very historic, so next time will check that out too.

Default hey K2, coupla questions

we're taking a Euro trip this May, and currently car shopping for the wife. looking at possibly getting an A3 or A4 thru this program to kill 2 birds w/ one stone! I looked thru Audi's program website which has great info, but curious about a couple of details:

-FAQ says Euro delivery is for cash sales where car needs to be 'paid in full'. does this still allow for financing thru VW credit (or other), or does it have to be straight-up cash?

-were you able to hand-pick your delivery date?
we will probably secure our airfare purchases (and therefore our travel dates) very early. I'm just wondering, if wait to place our car order until *after* we secure our travel dates, will we pretty much be able to get our preferred delivery date (assuming we place the order 30-60 days out)?

btw, Congrats on your purchase! the experience looks like so much fun!

Default to answer your questions.......

Yes on the first 2 questions. Yes it is a pay in full cash deal and yes you can finance the purchase through a financial institution. I suppose anytime you finance a car not through the car company it's a cash deal with the dealer. My guess, it may be difficult getting a finacial institution to finance on a vehicle that is not in the States at first.

Secondly you can pick your exact dates. It would be very hard to plan airfare and a vacation if you couldn't. I suppose planning earlier is always better. I do not know about Audi, but Volvo shuts the factory down during the summer for change over to the new MY. This may be a good question to get answered before making travel arrangements. Just a thought.

You can always email me directly if you have any other questions.

Good luck, you will not regret it.
