timeline - for those who have done ed
#2
I believe that's depend on what car u r talking
I ordered TT in January and picking it up on Monday but that's because the car wasn;t out. Usually probably take about 4 weeks

What I remember being told about 1 1/2 - 2 months.......
and I am guessing it will be a little different timing if you are ordering as they shut the factory down for retooling the next MY.

Re: timeline - for those who have done ed
I have asked two local dealers this question, and noone has answered it. Maybe one of you helpful fellas can tell me how it worked for you.
I am looking to do ED on an RS4, and use frequent flier miles for the flight to go get it. Question is: How much time will I have between the following:
1. When I learn the date I need to go pick it up.
2. The date I need to go pick it up.
The length of time between those 2 dates is how much advance notice I'll have to secure a flight, and frequent flier flights can be hard to get in the summer, without enough advance notice.
Thanks!

You have to give them general idea but they will move around the date for u
I, as well, am using my frequency flyer mile. In short, they will work with you to move around the date of pick up. They try to have the car ready about 3 weeks in advance of you request date. When I order my TT, I told them memorial day weekend (I ordered in January so that was couple of months out). They finish the car and have it sitting at Audi Forum since 5/2/07 waiting and I just inform them that I will be there 4/21/07 (a week in advance of when I am suppose to be there) on 4/20/07. I think since the program being so new, it is not like BMW, so they can move around the date of pick up a lot easier. Also they are in permanent building so I think they can handle a lot more delivery.
If you still have question, my advice would be to call AoA and ask for ED department. You are most likely to be connect to Kathy Bis who head the ED program and she will likely be able to answer any question for you.
