B7 Symphony II PLUS installed into B6 2003 A4 with OEM Sirius Receiver/Tuner.

After a long "planning" delay on my part, I finally completed the replacement of the Panasonic FM modulated Sat setup in my '03 A4.
The new setup is comprised of a B7 Symphony II+ HU, and a Audi OEM Sirius receiver/tuner.
I expected better audio quality with this setup, but I am really surprised by how much better the audio sounds compared to before. The improvement for SAT programming is probably a given, but the Symphony II+ sounds a lot better on it's own merit, compared to the Sym II HU originally installed. In addition to the HU channel/station/title display, the sat channel/FM RDS is also displayed on the IC DIS.
I installed the Sat box in the glove box ware the CD changer fits usually. A custom harness integrating the Sym II>Sym II+ adapter, SAT receiver/tuner harness, with future BT capability, iPod interface and Aux RCA inputs was constructed by "TeddyBGame". The FM Diversity antennas connected to the Sym II+ using an adapter cable from Nsxjr's web store. The install task was problem free, and took about two hours.
I still need to recode the HU properly, and there may be additional sound quality improvment with the correct EQ profile active.
I am very pleased with the performance of this setup, it's a worthwhile upgrade for sure.

How did you deal with the new antenna setup?
Based on recent posts, the II+ generation radios do not use the diversity module anymore. They expect two HF antenna signals and do their own antenna switching. Did you get any faults or poor reception when using the dual HF head unit with the HF/ZF antenna system in your car?

No, I have not noticed any problems with FM reception, and No faults.
I was curious about that difference also, I wonder if deenergizing the diversity switcher would effect any poor reception if it occurs?
OR, just using one signal spit into the two inputs?

Maybe that is true, but for me, the OEM look and integration with the other systems, is ....
more important than the performance and features offered by an aftermarket HU.
Other guys, will have different priorities and preferences for sure.
