There is a reason ppl black out plates, and you are wise to do so. Anyone can go to the DMV and attain your name and address from your plate. So lets say some whacko out there hates pearl avants, and is set on ridding the world of them. He sees your plate # and now know where you live. Or maybe a criminal who needs parts for his car. Now he knows where to get them. Or maybe he knows your going on vacation (cause you told ppl on the forum about your much anticipated ski trip. (Now he knows your not home and decides you have a nice house from the pics) Maybe your G-friend/wife is in one of your pics and some pervert wants to see her in person. (Now he has a place to look.) Are these longshots of happening? Sure. But it is 2007 and it is the internet. Better to be safe than sorry I guess. Well gotta go the game is about to start. Maybe after the season, I'll have more time for this board again.

I made the mistake of selling the one off the wifes car before I saw what it looked like without it..
not doing that again..
the mounting holes look horrible when exposed and I would have to fill them and buy matching paint to complete the fix..
