Some other info from the Audi Forum (and one more interior shot)

I was also given a "teaser" brochure while at the Forum in NYC yesterday, and a couple of things in there caught my eye. This may not be new information, but I thought I'd throw it out for everyone...
It notes the drivetrain (quattro) includes "asymmetric/dynamic torque distribution." Is this another way of describing what used to be known as EDL or is this something new?
The brochure also talks about "new adjustable steering response." Is this the standard variable-rate steering or is there some kind of programmable switch? If so, maybe the steering "weight" can be driver adjusted to taste and this talk of over-light steering may be gone. That would be cool! (Assuming the tightest setting is tight enough.)

sounds like the cat's out of the bag now...I've had secret info I couldn't share...
regarding the steering response, but will now. Yes the weight will be adjustable.
Not sure if I can say any more, so I won't...

Do you think the Recent Car Reviewers New About this Adjustable Steering?
Cause if they didn't know about it, the way the car handles could be very different under different settings. Maybe this explains why some have said the steering is really good while others havn't liked it. The settings may have been different on different cars.

I was wondering the same thing.
I don't remember any review I've read mentioning such a thing.
Perhaps Audi kept it quite so they could set different cars to different settings to see how the reviews would come out.

I Agree
The thing is, that none of the reviews have mensioned this technology, so that would mean that they arn't really testing the car to its full potential.
After hearing this I don't think the reviews are as relevant. Best to probably drive the car personally.
Going from some reviews like the AutoCar review (I think thats the one) they said that the steering was really good etc. I'm going to take their word for it after what you have discovered.
It was pretty weird to read one review that said the handling was great and then another that said it wasn't that great, what you have found answers this though.
I think the S5 is really cool though, I love it, I can't wait to see one and get in it.
