2007 RS4 Test Drive...
friend just picked up brand new 2007 RS4 in Silver and took it for a drive. Not at all impressive. The sound was absolutely incredible, but the acceleration was not all there. Compared to my 3.0 Ultrasport, there wasnt much a big difference. Would I spend $80K for this car? not at all..
I definitely would go with a E46 M3 over this RS4...

Your friend has to break it in...its got a recommended RPM rev on it.
I have sat on an RS4 with 1200miles on the clock and even with a 8k rpm rev recommended, it is fast. I took logs with it and it took 4 secs from 33km/ph to 101 km/ph via 2nd gear.

I have no understanding for how you would come to that conclusion...
I don't like the price tag and I'd prefer it if there was an RS 4 on the B6 platform, but there is no way in hell it could possibly be barely faster then a three point slow
