Welp, no more A3 for me
I loved my A3, I really did. I planed on keeping it a really long time. And really made effort to take good care of it.
But as usual, life intervenes. Priorities change. So, I ended up doing a private trade for this instead (plus some cash of course):

At least I still have my A4. So I'll be sticking around a bit. mostly lurking as usual.

almost got one of those
I just got my A3 but I had it narrowed down to the Mazda 3 or the A3. The A3 just felt better to me. I know a few people that own the Mazda 3 and they love it even after years of owning it.

Thanks all :) Yea I feel it was a good trade...
I've always liked the mazda3 since it came out so this works out quite well for me. The 3 sport (hatchback version) is the bigger 2.3 engine. Obviously Mazda's interior engineers took a lot of pointers from Audis so i feel quite at home in it. Heck it even has auto-sensing rain wipers and auto-lights. Plus this one's a manual, and after 7 long years, its nice to own one again. I'd forgotten how much fun driving stick can be

Thanks April,
We're a-ok.
The decision to liquidate the A3 was painful to me, but still an obvious choice. Besides, I think things came out as well as I could possibly hope for. I got rid of an aging SUV amd replaced it with the B5 A4 2.8q that I've always wanted. I got to enjoy an awesome car in the A3 for 2+ years. I managed to get a fair trade for a car I actually like. And now we have the cash which opens up certain doors that weren't quite so opened before.
It's funny how I've gone thru so many cars in such a short time. My colleagues at work all think I'm rich or nuts or both.
Anyway, things change. Life happens. With some luck in a year or 2, I'll be trading in the mazda3 or a4 for maybe a Q5, A5 or maybe just a tiguan

A coworker asked me this morning if it was my car parked in the handicapped spot.
While returning from lunch, I saw that it was another coworker's Mazda 3. Same color, and I guess the same car to some.
