First impressions.
Coming from a overpriced and under-performing Audi A3 automobile, I very recently was honored with the unique luxury of test driving a 2007 Dodge Caliber. I soon found out why this esteemed vehicle is gaining notoriety in the prestigious circles that it travels. I was very humbled when the gentleman with the greasy work shirt casually tossed the keys on the counter and fidgeted with the posterior of the young woman, who was helping me at A+ car rentals in Bunnell, Florida. I am always one for happiness in the workplace and these two seemed to have it in spades! Hey, get a broom closet you two! I feel so naughty, why did I just say that!
I walked out to space 325b and drank in her beauty. Her gorgeous copper colouring reeked of style and taste. (ABT 219) Her lines reminded me of the styling cues prevelant in the finest Korean sub-compact automobiles. We're speaking in terms of noble heritage and aesthetic pedigree. No other auto maker since AMC or perhaps Scion has had the foresight to draw such delectable lines and push them through R&D and onto the salesroom floor. Next I opened her up and got inside.
The interior looks as though Philippe Starck himself swallowed a pile of scrap metal, and shat out a bonified award winning interior. Sumptuous "metal look" abs plastic on nearly every panel subtly says, "hey I look the part, but I am still concerned about keeping my weight down for speed"
I nearly expelled my colon when I dropped the hammer on the pedal furthest to the right. Over 172 galloping ponies take this handsome piece of work from stand-still-stoker to raging bull! As I carefully dialed my lines through the challenging streets of Ft. Pierce I felt all at once empowered and frankly, very priviledged. This beauty really turns heads and the looks on peoples faces really tells the story. To drive a Dodge Caliber is really almost like driving an Italian supercar. Grace, lines, massive acceleration, screaming exhaust notes filling the cabin. I was in absolute ecstasy at the marvel of engineering and capabilities of this fine vehicle. I almost felt saddened as I handed the keys back to the kindly lady at the automobile rental facility. Will I ever again know the meaning of value and power in one amazing package? If it's all the same to you, I think I would prefer to keep rolling the 4-rings instead.
