Our account manager has a Phaeton, he bought it last Christmas. He is driving a Jetta loaner....
for 2 weeks now. His car has overheating problem, that the dealer couldn't figure out.

Check your pump housing
On my 00 1.8t my secondary air pump housing had begun to split when the rivets that hold the two halves together began to let loose. I just inserted small screws/locknuts thru them, snugged and all was good
