Crap...I really screwed up...GT Coupe Update #3
I gotta-tell-ya...I really screwed up!
Yesterday I had a some time on my hands and I cleaned the 84 GT Coupe including vacuuming all the glass out of the car.. All the crud from the leeching parking garage washed off nicely.
Before:

After!
<img src="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d104/kmloveless/GTCoupe/CleanUp/GT113.jpg">
I pulled the window seals out and cleaned all of the broken glass. Then sealed it up with some collision car-wrap to seal the window openings...
<img src="http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d104/kmloveless/GTCoupe/CleanUp/GT157.jpg">
The dash is pretty much toast tho...

Man...WFT? This car actually looks pretty good!

Then to top it all off, today I dropped by to see Mike at Import Masters here in KC. He gave me an ignition switch for the car so I could bypass the non-existent key and try to start the car. I had every intention of changing the oil, draining the gas tank and replacing the fuel filter before starting her. But curiousity kills the cat eh?
I popped the switch in and ran some jumpers over from my Jetta. I really, really wanted to see if the motor would at least crank. Using a flat-head screw-driver I switched the ignition on...lights popped on the dash. So I turned it to start. She cranked! And after 5 slow cranks I was just starting to turn it off when I heard a sputter. Well...I cranked it again a wammo! The damn thing started! I really have to admit I'm "giddy as a school girl". That thing has been sitting for at least 5 years...and started up with no treatment of fuel or oil.
By the way, it's been sitting on my drive for over a week. There is not one drop of oil on the drive...hmmmmm. Damn...she doesn't want to die! I might just have to do it...
That is all.

Could be two colors....
If its black then its "Satin Black Metallic" If blue it could be "Nautical Blue Metallic" based on what I'm seeing in my 1987 booklet. (its a 4000S only color for that year, might be different for 81-84) Its definitely a darker "tealish" blue then the Oceanic Blue Metallic CGT/4kqs came in almost black depending on the light. Copenhagen Blue is possible, but those are obviously blue in all light.
