Default What does everyone think about putting this on my car?

Do you think this might help my car with power?
Have any effect on my gasmileage or anything?
I found this ad what do you guys think?

Do you want to cut your quarter mile time? Have a faster 0-60 time? What to increase your MPG? Reduce your 60 ft time? You're looking in the right place - a BRAND NEW, never used Electric Supercharger. Every kit contains all the parts - switches, wires, fuses, etc. It even includes a BRAND NEW HIGH-FLOW AIR FILTER. It is specific to these vehicles and will not fit others.

Most superchargers require extensive modification of your engine - including additional belts and pulleys which actually drain horsepower from your engine just to run (you've heard of this - it's called inefficient.) All belt-driven superchargers need horsepower to run--sometimes as much as 20 percent of engine's total. This is where an electric supercharger comes in - it requires no extensive modifications, and better yet - no belt to rob your engine of horsepower! This supercharger draws its 12 volts off the power that your alternator is already making!

This powerful supercharger will create up to 1.7 psi - all at the flick of a switch. And even though powerful, it will not damage your engine with overwhelming pressure - no bent/broken rods, no blow-by, no detonation - it is completely safe for your car's engine. Just flip the cockpit mounted switch at full throttle, and the powerful supercharger capable of running over 8000 rpm will supply your engine with all of the boost it will need. No need for a boost controller, or other expensive gadgetry - everything you need is in the kit. This supercharger's results have been tested with a precision accelerometer - don't be surprised to see your 0-60, 60ft, and quarter mile times decrease - and a double digit horsepower and torque increase.

Kit includes:

Supercharger
K&N style air filter
Clamps
Switch
Adapter
Ground/Power/Relay Wires
All Connectors
etc....
Everything needed to install!

THIS IS NO TOY! The 2006 Model's high-flow compressor blasts out more power than ever. It takes power to make power, and no one else even comes close! Accept no imitations!

EVEN INCREASE MPG! GAS SAVER! While keeping the unit on during normal driving the supercharger a vortex of forced air to get to the engine, which results less restriction and better MPG.

IMMEDIATE and FULL 1psi BOOST AT ANY ENGINE RPM! - 0 TO 25,300 RPM in 1/10th SECOND (activated by a switch at Open Throttle).

SAFE FOR YOUR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: High current for short duration is drawn directly from your battery, not your alternator. Just like your starter motor.

DOES NOT RESTRICT YOUR INTAKE when not in operation (air-flow through 4.0" dia. is equal to a 3.1 inch diameter straight tube).

EASY TO INSTALL IN MINUTES! Comes pre-assembled and pre-wired, ready for mounting, with easy-to-follow instructions and picture examples.

WORKS ON ANY FUEL INJECTED ENGINE

DYNO PROVEN AND TESTED by independent organizations

Specifications: 5" x 5.5" x 6.75" w/o filter - 5" x 5.5" x 12" with filter. Tough reinforced ABS plastic housing - Efficient high volume airflow - low current draw - corrosion resistant material throughout - ignition protected

Default looked at your pic poster, you'v got a nice car do a bit of reading through some old posts

of this forum and the 90 forum. There is a lot of useful info that will make your car much more responsive, if you are interested in modding.

Look up MAF and Throttle body mods. Good luck.

Default The fact that there was a good post not too long ago......

makes me wonder if you are just looking for some reaction. Some quick easy forum searching of the word "boost" with the "12V Devepolment" option highlighted gives you a good answer by the fourth post.

Overall, the system is a scam. Especially when you consider you could have the equivalent of about three of those turds'-worth "pressure builders" on, anytime you are going over a certain speed that is (nixing the benefits of off-the-line power). Best of all, this other method really is free to operate with no measurable power drain. Powering electric units do cost power becaue although there is no belt drive to the electrical air compressor there is one to the power generating unit. And guess what happens when you ask an alternator to make more power...it needs more power to drive it.

Check, check, ckeck it out!

https://forums.audiworld.com/12v/msgs/57621.phtml</a

Default You aren't going to be spinning any wheels...

with a quattro. It's possible to with LOTS of hp.

Search the forum for these keywords: S3 MAF, XTB, Silicone kit, ram-air, port and polish(P&P)

That should give you a good start.

takes power to create power, i can't see that thing doing any good, except restricting air flow
