245/40/18 Bridgestone RE050A Pole Position on 18x8" s-line wheel?
I had 225/45/17 in the same tire on 17x8.5" SSR comps (see pic). I found the tires to run quite wide.
Will a 245 on the 8" wheel be too wide? I don't want an awkward amount of tire sticking out past the wheel.

rolling diameter diff is negligible. i want to know if this specific tire
will look weird on a 8" wheel. if you see in the pics, even a 225 in the bstone reo50a pp fits on a 8.5" wheel and offers some lip protection.
i don't want to the tire to be sticking out way past the wheel. these tires in particular run wider than most. the 225 b-stone had more lip protection on my 8.5" wheel than both falken fk451 and toyo t1r in 235 sizes.

no problem
basically what i tell everybody is the a4 beats the s4 in EVERYTHING, but power. i like the features, large audio display, steering wheel controls, bixenon's with drl's are simply amazing, it rides very smooth and quiet. i get over 30mpg on the highway and mid 20's in town. as for the some of the cons, i really miss the torque and great exhaust note. also, the seats in the a4 do not keep you there around corners... and no suede
as for handling, i just picked up the car in october with the stock pirelli p6 suck *** tires. i couldn't get into a turn without the tires giving out first so i haven't been able to put the sport suspension through it's paces.
i think with a few modifications like turbo back exhaust, highflow fuel pump and software, this car will be much more fun to drive. my s4 was my daily driver and having it in the shop 5 (give or take) times a year was BS. on top of that i had no sunroof or heated seats in ND. the a4 makes a much better daily driver for my purposes and no more cops giving me the stink eye. hope this helps.
