Gary or anyone, need some advise on summer performance tires

I picked up some 17" OZ wheels and S03's from Tire Rack a couple of summers ago for my 2002 A41.8QT and its time to replace the tires. The only complaint that I had with the SO3's was with tramlining. The tramling was acceptable (my wife hated it) at the beginning but it got to be a bit annoying towards the end of the tread life so I would like my next set of tires not to have issues with tramlining but to be (hopefully) in the same ball park handling wise.

FYI, I didn't have any issues at all with the ride comfort and road noise levels of the SO3's but I would like my replacement tires to be at least as good in these areas. I live in a dry climate so hydroplaning/wet traction isn't high on my list. I'm not a track person (even though I'm signed up for my second Audi Club driving school) so I could probably could sacrifice some grip.

Recommendations/comments? Highest on my list of priorities is handling with little tramlining. If Mich Pilot Sports PS2 and the Goodyear F1 GS-D3 tramline (are there any reports on this?) I'm leaning towards something like the Toyo T1-S or stepping down to a tire whose handling isn't quite as good. Dunlop SP 9000's seem to the recommended tire for those wanting longer tire life and improved ride/noise. If the SP 9000's are a big step down handling wise, should I be looking at something like the P-Zero Rosso's ?
