LONG awaited BBS RG-R and RS-GT info! ---->
Hey Gang, as promised, BBS is finally making these available to us.. Here is some preliminaries, that will answwer most of the emails that I get on them.. :
The New BBS RG-R and RS-GT will be available soon. All the part numbers and applications are in the system. The first order will arrive to me by the end of this month, what we have on order is all that we can get for now.
<b> RIGHT NOW, I show TWO sets of each wheel for A4/A6/S4 fitments!!!</b>
We placed orders for these several months ago and the Tire Rack is getting most of the inventory that they brought into the U.S. The RG-R and RS-GT wheels are produced in Japan by the BBS division there. <b>BBS Japan only produces Forged products in that facility, they produce all the forgings for the Magnesium and Aluminum forged wheels, street and racing versions.</b>
Once the wheels arrive to us and we can get all our wheel spec data from them, we will update the weights and add additional applications for some wheels. Currently we do not know the available brake and hub clearance to get the wheels listed on every possible application.
The RG-R is a forged one piece wheel in the Diamond Black finish. The wheels will arrive with a Gold BBS logo in them. The logo they use in these wheels is NOT the same as other BBS logos that we have in stock.
Here are some typical weights for the RG-R wheels :
18x7.5 18.0 lbs
18x8 18.5 lbs
18x8.5 18.5 lbs
18x9 19.0 lbs
18x9.5 19.5 lbs
18x10 20.0 lbs
19x8.5 20.5 lbs
19x9.5 21.0 lbs
19x10 22.5 lbs
(listing of all of the BBS fitments, not all of these sizes are for the Audis, by the way)
The New RS-GT is a 2 piece wheel with a forged rim section and a forged center. The rim has a diamond cut lip and the center is Diamond Black. They also have a version for Porsche with a Brilliant Silver finish center. These wheels will also arrive with the Gold BBS logo caps in the wheels.
