1973 100LS
Just got a 1973 100LS 2 door. Does any one have any ideas where to find the nylon gear selection plate under the shifter? Mine is in four pieces and all efforts to repair it have failed. I am new to this whole forum thing so please excuse any mistakes.

Welcome!
I am afraid I can't help you with a source for THAT part, but why not make one? Are you handy with a scroll saw? The choice of materials is up to you!
How about some pictures of your car?

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/122694/stp60156_small.jpg"></center><p>Hello! So I have my friend making a new gear selection plate out of aluminum.
Now I have a problem with the brakes. It seems like almost all the pressure is going to the back brakes. There may be a problem with the master cylinder. Does any one know if you can still get new rubber to rebuild the master cylinder? I was also wondering if this car came stock with a proportioning valve? I don't appear to have one but I see they are listed online for 170$.
It looks like some one had messed around with the braking system. When I bought this car the front brakes where almost frozen solid. I managed to get the calipers off and the pistons to push back in. Do I dare to just put them back in and hope they work?
So if I seem clueless that is because this is my first Audi. I realize that a 73 100ls is not the best one to start with but hey it looked interesting. If someone wants to give me a crash course on 70's 100's that would be great. If not; then does any one want buy a car?
Other fun stuff this car needed:
Passenger side motor mount
Custom 2 into 1 exhaust down pipe
Floor pans
Melted fuse box?
Lots of body work

Re: 1973 100LS
Hey teach. I am located in central Maine. About an hour north of Portland. The car has 80613 miles on it. Not bad for an oldie. I have not had much time to put into it latly. Now that the weather is getting warm I feel like it is in the way. As much as I think this car is really neat and want to drive it I feel like I may need to get rid of it. Time will tell!!!!
