Default Coding of Steering Wheel (VAG-Com)

Hello to all
Could someone tell me the Soft. Coding of the module 16 - Steering Wheel, of his car? (It must be an A4 2002 with cruise control)

Please I need it to recode the module because I have a fault in that module: 01044 - Control Module Incorrectly Coded

Thanks in advance
Jose Miguel

Codes like that are often a wiring problem - unless you recoded it.

The cruise control has been retro fitted (in Europe is an option). It has been energised with the login 11463 (I can see the G in the components) but it didn't work.

I have the correct parts (in the A4 2002 no adittional wiring is needed if you have the correct module 8E0953549L or 8E0953549N)

I think that it must be coded in the module, the code now is 01011, If none have the correct code I'll try with 11011, 01111 and 11111 before to unmount all if didn´t work

Thanks in advance

Ok, this Post is about one year old...
But here are the codes for this module:

Leave the first and second position unchanged. One of them could be for righthand drive. Normally both should be zero.

The third and forth position:
00 with steering wheel without additional functions
11 steering wheel with tiptronic
20 multifunction wheel without tiptronic, unheated
21 multifunction wheel with tiptronic, unheated
22 multifunction wheel without tiptronic, heated
23 multifunction wheel with tiptronic, heated

The fifth position:
0 without FIS (Driver Information System), without cruise control
1 with FIS, without cruise control
2 without FIS, with cruise control
4 with FIS, with cruise control

The sixth position:
1 Sedan
2 Avant (rear wiper enabled)

Hope this helps somone... ;o)

I have done the same and this part worked fine. My old code was 000012 (FIS and Avant), the new one with cruise control is 000042.

But I got another problem: I can't do the basic setting of the steering angle sensor. In ABS/EDS module I got two errors: Control Module incorrectly coded and Steering Angle Sensor basic setting/intermittend. The Sensor is recognized via CAN (display group 125, block 1 is set to 1)

Can anyone tell me, how to do the basic setting of the steering angle sensor on A4 8E?
The procedure:

Start engine,
steering wheel one turn left and one turn right, drive to get steering wheel centered,
Brake system (module 03) login with 40168,
basic setting group 1

doesn't work with VAG-COM 311.3 (group 1 not available)... (

Thanks in advance,
Frank
