them. I've read the section that you describe in my manual but it doesn't explain how to use the VAG-COM (that I purchased from you) to do this . The manual provides the following information:
"The air spring system (pressure reservoir, air springs, pressurized air lines) can be filled using the VAG tester. For this, the valid limit values are: Air spring 9 bar/pressure reservoir 13 bar. System filling is performed in stages. (air springs, front/air springs, rear/pressure reservoir) Filling is only possible after manually switching off the regulation. Time frame for filling is limited to 65 seconds. However, it is possible to perform the function several time in sequence to accumulate a longer filling time. It is possible to perform a filling procedure in stages using the up and down arrow buttons of the VAG tester. (buttons 1/3 of VAG1551 tester have the additional assignment (down) button /(up) button." I found what looks to be a procedure to bleed the reservoir and I found numerous ways to view the status of the suspension system such as height, pressure, pump temp, valve status etc. but I can't see how to bleed/fill the air springs. I understand the theory that you don't want to lower the car down on to it's wheels with a completely empty air spring since this could/will damage the air spring. Also, you don't want the OBD system to try to level the vehicle with the front wheels off the ground hence the need to put the vehicle in jacking mode. Since no one seems to know how to vent/fill the airbags using VAG-COM I'm going to do what CanAudian did in the procedure he described in the tech articles section. Thanks.
