Help With Some Codes
I recently picked up a vag-com and was playing with scanning my brother 01 A4 and it came up with the following 3 codes
"VAG-COM Version: Release 607.3-UD
Control Module Part Number: 4B0 906 018 M
Component and/or Version: 1.8L R4/5VT G 0003
Software Coding: 16201
Work Shop Code: WSC 11111
3 Faults Found:
17977 - Cruise Control Switch (E45): Implausible Signal
P1569 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
18010 - Power Supply Terminal 30: Voltage too Low
P1602 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
16839 - EVAP System: Large Leak Detected
P0455 - 35-00 - -
Readiness: 0000 0000"
1 - Im assuming its most likely the cruise control switch (does anyone know a p/n for this?)
2 - I found out this is most likely because he recently changed his battery and when the terminals get dissconnected it throws this code
3 - This is the one im lost on...any help?

Re: Help With Some Codes
1. Quite a few people have reported solving various issues with the cruise control switch by cleaning. I would try some contact cleaner and possibly a bit of disassembly before buying a new one.
2. Clear and ignore unless it comes back with any regularity.
3. Check gas cap first. After that, the easiest thing to do is probably to go to a shop that has a smoke machine. It will force some harmless smoke into the fuel tank and the leak will be evident by where the smoke comes out.

Use output tests to check that pump runs when commanded.
Assuming it does, check all plumbing associated with secondary air system, especially combination valve.
