Hello. I fairly new to Audi and have got myself a 2004 A8. The car was left for 3weeks and looks like I had a bad battery as when I got back to it it was completely dead. Not even a LED. So new battery on and some of the features that I had before have gone. Eg the ability to be able to select the ride height. Just says that there is no further options when I press car and setup.

I have been told that using vag com I can get this back. What "bits" do I need I have seen the cables online. OBD to USB. What is the software?

I have this same issues had to change battery now when i go to car set-up there is no option to raise or lower car, also no option for jack mode everything is gone, It was stated that you need vcds but after that how do you code to get those options back?

This is what you need: Ross-Tech Store: VCDS License with HEX-USB+CAN Unlimted VIN (All VAG)

I think it has to be enabled in the 'hidden' menu, but can't recall for certain.
The guys in the D3 forum would know for sure.

Thanks for that. I will look into it. I was going to have a look a lowering the car slightly I have been told it is easy with the software.
