Serious issues with vag com, brakes and hvac
2000 A4 2.8l. Auto.
Problem, can't get ABS brake pump to turn on. Tons of air in lines. Replaced master, and both rear calipers. bought a real VAG COM and it just gives me an error when I try to turn it on. I know for a fact this car has the stability management system. When my VAG COM connects to the ecu and I go to brakes menu it starts to flash from green to red back and forth rapidly. I have the same problem occurs when I try to access the HVAC system of the car since the damn thing wont blow hot air most of the time even though the coolant to the core from core and back is super hot.....but my water temp gauge never goes much above quarter hot. been trying to diagnose all these problems for about a month now.

Are you able to access your ABS module in general?
If your water temp doesn't go up then it might be worthwhile to change your thermostat with a new one... even if you already did recently. Sometimes they're defective when new.

Yes I can access it but it has issues doing so and takes a few attempts to connect. Also I have a low voltage cell when I check my engine codes. I wonder if a red top isn't enough for this car. That or there is a short somewhere? It takes quite a few attempts to connect to the HVAC system though and when it does it seems ot be a very unstable connection.

I'm wondering if the low voltage code has anything to do with my inability to turn on the ABS pump or even get the HVAC unit to read?

No fault code found.
From what I have read, the 5.3 is the EPS equipped system. Also when i go to basic settings, and type in 002 to activate the pump it just says error group 002 not available.
My HVAC system has trouble being accessed half the time and takes about 3 tries for the VAG COM to even connect. The only Time the AC pump even turns off is when I have econ mode on. Im trying to figure out out if this a computer problem with the car or a short somewhere or if my VAG COM isn't properly configured?
