Default S6 V8 2000 VCDS label file problem

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone,
I'm using VCDS lite and have a problem to understand all metadata from VCDS.
I get the redir fail message for the engine controller.

Anyone that know how to build your own lable file?
My controller is 4D0-907-558, its an Audi S6 2000 (AQJ engine)european model.

Or can I modify a similar label file and "fool" the VCDS to at least present some information?

Mind posting an Auto-Scan so we know which module/part number and VCDS version you are talking about?

Looks like we never made a label file for the AQJ engine. If you had a full version of VCDS, we'd ask you to send maps, but VCDS-Lite doesn't have that function.

Since the AQJ engine was used in model year 2000-2002 Euro A6's only, it's a pretty rare specimen. However, it should fit this scheme reasonable well.

Thanks Uwe for looking in to this matter!
Just to be clear that I follow you,
I can upgrade my VCDS Lite to a full, send the data to you and you support me in building a functional label file for the AQJ motor?

Yes, that's correct, but we won't prmomise you a time-frame for getting a file like that done.

OK, that sounds interesting.
Also, trying to detect misfire but do not get any read-out on group 014 and upwards to 020.
Will that work with the full version of VCDS?
Greetings from Sweden

No, the actual data available will not change with the full version of VCDS vs. VCDS-Lite. This is determined by the car, not the software.

It is quite possible that your ECU doesn't support misfire detection; this was required for US emissions standards starting in 1996 but I don't think it was required in Europe (or Rest of World) yet in MY 2000.
