Default OBD II diagnostic port not functioning

Does or has anyone had an issue with the OBD II port not functioning ? I have connected 3 different readers to the port and get a "failure to connect" on the readers screen. I have a 2005 TT.

The port is fused and it might be blown.

Not sure where/which fuse it is, so you'll have to check the manual.
That's where I'd start....

Well I could be wrong..... it's happened before

I'd still check the manual to see if there is a fuse for it.

Is your cigarette lighter socket working? Not sure about the Audi, but some vehicles use this power for OBD port.

Check all the fuses quickly with a test light. Its not uncommon to find a blown fuse for the OBD port. Sometimes this happens when a battery saver is used via the OBD port when work is being done on the car.
