Default ignition lock defected

Do anyone know how much that cost to be repair I saw a red key symbol with an x on it and the customer service says they think it's the ignition lock but the dealership think it's the access control module have anyone
experienced this problem with the key showing with an x on it please help

Please post a complete Auto-Scan from the A8 and we can see what the codes are.

If it is an immobilizer problem it will likely have to be coded by the dealer or an authorized locksmith.
