I am going to purchase a VAG COM by ross tech and before I do I would like a little help to be certain that this is the right unit to buy. Jefff there are lower cost systems available direct from the manufacturer and some of their distributors.

Are you located in Germany and are you wanting a German translation? For that is what you have shown in the ebay listing.

The price of a translated system is always higher than the English original version offered by Ross-Tech.

If you already have a Windows PC/laptop or a Mac that can run Windows, just buy the cable directly from one of the Ross-Tech distributors. That eBay listing is selling a Windows device as well, hence the higher price.

is this system i listed going to actually access all the modules possible???

The system you quoted in post #1 will access all modules in VAG cars from 1995 through the 2016 model year - although a few 2016 cars are not covered at this time.
