A5 Cab top up - down with VAG Com Only!
New - Top down with Key fob - it works!
For a 2014 A5 Cabriolet, this worked to allow my key fob to make the roof go up or down. No special hardware required.
Enable Remote Operation Windows and Sunroof
[46 - Cent. Conv.] [Coding - 07] -> [Long Coding Helper] Byte 2
Bit 2 - Set to 1
Then - the special trick!!!
On VCDS you go to Module 5 - which is Access/Start Authorization, then Coding 07 - change Byte 2 to 00001111 = 0F.
Mine was at 01000000 before.
then Do it!
To open/close the top via remote you have to be pretty close, approx 20 ft. On remote press "unlock" briefly then within 2 seconds press and HOLD "unlock". You'll have to keep the button pressed til it's done just like the button in the car. Close the same way just with the "lock" button.
Make sure the automatic windows controls are enabled in the MMI.
