Default Check engine light!

Hi guys i just installed a new chip set + 2.5 bar map sensor in to my 200 20v avant with a very good friend of mine(thx by the way)After starting the car the CHECK ENGINE light came on,the car drives good runs great(pulls great)Can anyone tell me why the light is on?What can i do to get rid of it?

First things first, what codes are in the ECU?

What u mean?I dont have a VAG to connect to my car.

I had a similar issue when I installed chips in my ECU turns out the ECU had some water damage causing the light to stay on the car ran fine, I just had to stare at the CEL. What company's chips are you using? Thx i will try it,i dont know what type of chip i buy these from some one who had them but never use them.

Hi thx,i scaned my car and it trow me a bad ecu code so i think it is a bad checksum in one of the chips.
