My pass side element stopped working and I was thinking to just replace it but it's costly from the dealer. I have the means to get a brand new element from Cadillac (free) but I was advised that wouldn't be a good idea to do so I've done nothing.

You would think an element is an element but I was told using a non Audi element could cause problems. I really don't see how, but it's kept me from doing it till I find a solution.

Others have been successful at repairing the wiring but honestly I don't care to go through all that trouble of removing the leather to make a repair that may not last. I want to replace with new and forget about it. If I recall the dealer wanted over $300 for the element.
