Default Long overdue update on the ol 5ktq...

The cars been down for the count since October.

I spent most of the winter trying to figure out what to do with it. We tried a couple of thing to rectify the situation to no avail. Things were tight on money so I drove the A6 and waited.

I finally came across a deal on a rehoned and tanked fresh MC block with extras. I worked out a trade + cash and went down to Ohio to pick it up. Thanks Eric.

Anyways long story short, everythings been rebuilt including the turbo, cylinder head, engine, etc. I also powedercoated, painted or polished almost everything I could get my hands on. I even used stainless fasteners where I could.

Here's the block as I picked it up from Eric:<img src="http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b240/SteveAngry/Enginerebuild002.jpg">

You've come a long ways, there, Steve. Looks like a great job.

You can always use that second engine in the John Deere, eh?
