If you live where you may be driving at higher elevations, consider the 2.0T. Here in Colorado a stock 2.0T will leave the 3.2 in the dust going over the mountain passes.
The 3.2 is a great motor but here are some of the points you should consider: If you want to add after market performance stuff in the future, there is lots for the 2.0 and not much for the 3.2. You can get big gains on the 2.0 and minimal gains on the 3.2.
The fact that the 2.0 can consistently get mid to high 30's in the mpg category is important. You may not care today about the difference, but when you go to sell the car and gas is $8.00 a gallon it will have a big impact on resale value.
If you think the 3.2 sounds good, you should hear the 2.0T with a Milltek dual exhaust on it.
I was always a MT guy but got this TT with the DSG. Its pretty sweet. You can do launch control take offs if you want to "pop the clutch" and it will out shift any human during performance driving, plus you can intervene and shift it up/down as you wish. When you're driving in stop and go traffic or for fuel economy it cant be beat.
