It does....
I've been torn on colors and while black is elegant and mysterious, it also hides the nice lines of the TT (like the creases that run long the side of the car). But on the TTS, yes, it does minimize it's buck tooth.

I still like my S-Line 3.2 better

Looks wise, anyway. Better rims, better front bumper. The black definitely de-emphasizes the "buck-tooth", but the s-line front is just better.
The only thing I like better is the rear twin dual exhaust.
Of course, that all refers to just the looks. I'd obviously rather have the TT-S for the horsepower and fuel efficiency. Although, I'm still amazed at some of the features that aren't standard on the TT-S. They really should have started with everything that S-Line includes, and then added a few extra kicks from there.
