Default A big THANK_YOU to Andrew TT...and a few others, see link, for their help

Andrew drove, probably 60 miles RT, to deliver to me a throttle valve controller that I could swap into my TT to determine the root cause of all the codes I was kicking up. I dropped his replacement TB in and reset the codes. I then went for a "spirited drive" with no lights or problems. I returned home checked for codes...None... and while waiting for things to cool down under the hood I started cleaning my TB. I should have taken pics of a before & after(it was pretty black inside and I found a small piece of blue silicone rubber stuck under the flapper near the pivot) but I was too concerned about getting it back in the TT to test drive it. I reinstalled the original TB back in the TT and went for another "test Drive" no worries, CELs etc. and NO CODES...

Thanks again everyone...ain't this forum great???<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/tt/threads/430736.phtml#1548922">Original plea for help</a></li></ul>

Default very cool! i had TB issues one time... dealer found a lot of carbon buildup inside

a simple cleaning eliminated my problems. i was getting a lot of engine stuttering at WOT above 5K. it's probably a good idea to take this thing out and clean it every 40K-50K miles.

Default Did the TB look anything like this? (Mine was nasty, too.)

Default that's great. it's nice to be able to actually fix stuff isn't it?

Default Yes it is thanks for your help....I think it was a remnant from when I relo'd my dv

that must have worked it way loose...it wasn't very big in fact, I wiped it out with a Q-tip but it dropped off and I couldn't find it afterwards.
