Default looking for a CAN-BUS adaptor

Does this thing exist?
If so, anyone knows where to find such adaptor? i have a 00 model and am thinking about replacing the stock concert headunit with a Concert II.
And since concert II uses CAN-BUS i guess i need some interface to make it work, is that correct?
Thanks for any reply!

Default That may not be true. Others have reported that the Concert II can be used in earlier model TT's

Look at the pale yellow connector on the pic of the rear here.
That connector is not on the 'Concert I'
Methinks it's the notorius 'CAN-BUS' me too connector, but not sure.

It could also possibly be a connector for a cell phone antenna.

Possibly.

Some connections on the 'Concert II' appear to be reversed as on the 'I'
If you don't use the Nav and phone, the 'Concert II' should work, no problem.

Default Re: Thanks does that mean Concert II will be a plug-n-play?

I replaced my Concert HU with a Concert II HU in my '98.5 A4. It is plug and play to some extent. As far as I know, the only change I made was one wire (as I remember it was ground) for the cd changer. The radio "works", here's the catch. The switched power I beleive is controlled by the CAN bus, which means I turn the HU on and off manually (it also turns itself off about ever hour and must be turned back on). The other problem is the back lighting for the buttons dosn't work, I think this is controlled by the CAN bus as well. This isn't a big deal either, because the display lights up all the time.

I would like to figure out how to get the other features to work, if anyone has, please let me know.

Default Yellow Connection = Anti-Theft Wire

The Yellow connection at the back of the Concert II as I myself have been told is an anti-theft wire that is now installed on all new Audi's. However, I have also been told that it might be used as a European DX Antenna. But I rather think its an anti-theft connection... But at this point it is still a guess as I don't have this wire in my 1998 A6. If anybody knows differently please let me know.

PS: The Can-Bus is controlled by the other connectors as you will see by the pin diagrams. These do differ slightly from the Concert I to Concert II and the backlight problem that has occured can be fixed... please see Tech Article https://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec86.shtml
