Default ttdude's stupid Friday poll #33: looking forward

*tap* *tap* Is this thing on? Is this a dead week on the forum or is it just me?

Anyway...

As a counterpoint to last week's look back, I thought maybe we could prognosticate a bit. So, being as serious or as goofy as you feel like...

What changes do you foresee in your life in 2003?

What plans/events do you have for your TT this year?
What antics do you think we'll get up to on the forum?

Self-response:

Me: I'm pretty sure I'll have to start working eventually, so I suppose I'll have to move from my solitude in Vermont. Current frontrunners are Phoenix and Dallas, for wholely different reasons.

TT: New wheels and tires! My summers are pretty beat and my winters will likely be useless, given my projected locales for after the winter. Also, I think I'm coming around to the idea of suspension upgrades. Oh yeah, I'll need to spend about three days cleaning the TT after this winter. You DON'T want to see a picture of it just now...

Forum: I've got some changes and surprises in store for the Friday poll... mostly because I'm low on ideas. Also, I predict Rahul will stop ranting. (Hey, not all predictions come true.)

Last week's results: I really enjoyed reliving those fun stories of the year past. It seems TT-East was the big success story. I would certainly agree! If you have any doubts about going this year, forget them. Go, it's a blast!

Default 2003 will be a big year of change I think....

Personally - we have many things going on in our lives at home and change is inevitable. I don't know what it will be yet but it will happen.

For the TT - Bilstiens and Eibachs, get the chip working, new grill (maybe), tint the windows and finally do the blackout work I've wanted to do. That's all I'll have time for due to:

Fixing and modding the J-24. Race season is just coming up and we have lot's of glass and electronic work to do, not to mention sail repairs and rigging replacements.

Modding the Focus SVT - already started on this (mods for the Focus are cheap!) Plans for '03 are blackout, tint, chip, CAI, HID, grill, UDPs and Flik wheels. If it comes at the right time then a supercharger as well.

Restoring the CR-V. After 5 hard years as a kid mobile, this car needs a solid 100 hours of detail time plus several 60K style repairs.

Maybe some Karting. I picked up a sprint kart at auction and haven't either received it or figured out what to do with it yet.

For the board - I see changes here too. So far, only a few old timers have gone to new TTs and as leases come up and warranties run out, seems like more folks are choosing other rides. So far all the newbies have been awesome peeps but as some of the more well known folks move on, they will be sorely missed. I hope that events like TT-East and West and ESW will keep the group going even after the cars are gone.

TT-East cameo, move to Hawaii, add sunroof, and improve the quality of my rants.
