Default ttdude's stupid Friday poll #6: other hobbies

Pretty simple this week - on what other hobbies/interests do you spend lots of money? That is, what else sucks up your mod (car payment?) money?

Or, if it isn't necessarily costly, what can you share decent knowedge about?

For me, the other money hog is DVDs. I'm a film nut, and some of the good foreign/classic stuff is pricey (I'm a Criterionaholic, if that means something to you). TV show box sets are pricey as well. Related is home A/V - my knowledge waxes and wanes with my interest, but it could be a big money pit after an upcoming move.

Default You have to promise not to laugh. (ammended list)

1. Computers (universal, or almost, theme i'm sure).

2. Decent knowledge and money-sucker: Specimen seashells and fossils. I have thousands from all over the world (most purchased, some taken myself). Many thousands of dollars sunk into this hobby (including reference books... argh!). Very small example here.

3. Books. I should open a library.

4. "Stuff". I love gadgets, especially electronic ones.

5. Thanks to The Pope for reminding me... how could i have skipped this!? Photography, big time; 35 mm right now. Collecting antique cameras (not currently buying, thank the lord).
