Default Euro Blind Spot Mirrors -- If you wanted to know what they do --

Top mirror is stock mirror and the one in housing is Euro mirror -- tried to get them to look at same angle -- with Euro , look at the outer 1/3 and you can see much more

In second pic, you can see them work in traffic.

Of course, you can adjust your mirrors wickedly, but these do a much better job

Wouldn't have seen that guy without the Euro mirror

These are pics from my 02 C230K. I also have these mirrors on my TT

They are well worth the money for the TT. You won't have to crane your neck backwards to look for other cars -- just at the side and rear view mirrors -- you eyes and head are where they belong -- looking ahead while you are passing everyone

And if you thought our mods are expensive, Don't buy a M/B

Default I don't understand the need for these. My experience is that when the ...

standard mirrors are set up correctly (i.e. not looking at the side of the car with the mirror, opposite to what Young Driver's training teaches), there are no blind spots. A car moves from rear-view mirror, to side mirror to right beside you. And there is just the right amount of overlap in the transition between them.

Maybe it's just me...

Default Have you tried them? They take a little getting used to...

but OMG, in a small car like the TT, you just turn your head and you know what is there right away. I put these puppies on the car the week I got it, and I would never want to be without them now. See link for a good comparison and info.

Euro mirrors comparo

Default Frankly I set my mirrors wide enough

just to the point when I can't see the car's sides anymore without moving my head a little to the side. And the car I'm passing either on the left or right appears in the central (windshield) mirror BEFORE it disappears from the side ones. So I guess I hardly need euros

Default you're right

but it takes adjusting to. Most people like the reference that the side of their own car gives, which makes the euro mirror the perfect solution. If you don't need that reference, then there's no reason to get them.

Either way they both take getting used to.
