Thinks the key is still in the ignition, I guess....(more)

    Everybody,

Had anyone else had this problem...which has *just* developed with my 180Q (at roughly 1200 miles):

I park the car, take the key out of the ignition, open the driver's door, and the "chime" rings as if the key has been left in the ignition. Problem is that if it isn't stopped, the alarm system won't "arm" when the door is manually locked!

I've found that often reinserting the ignition key and turning it to "accessory" for a sec, *then* quickly back off, seems to solve the problem. And it's a sporatic problem, too, although it JUST started over the weekend.

Up until now, I had one occasion when my TT locked itself and armed the alarm overnight while parked in my garage (*that* only happened once), and with frequency the master switch doesn't unlock the doors (although pushing it twice and then wiggling the inside driver's door handle will fix the problem).

Does any of this sound familiar to anybody else here? These *alone* aren't serious enough to take the car back into the dealer...I'll just deal with them when I get a voluntary 2500'ish-mile oil change.

    Janet
